Thunder capsule scavenger hunt, playoff ticket raffle underway

OKLAHOMA CITY (KFOR) - A scavenger hunt to get you ready for the playoffs is underway, so be on the lookout. Thunder-themed capsules with goodies inside have been placed in different areas downtown for fans to find.

Fans have cheered the Thunder along to 68 wins and now the banners can be seen across downtown as playoff excitement builds in Oklahoma City.

"Everybody needs their daily dose of Thunder right? Building up to that first home game,” Thunder spokesperson Gayle Maxwell said.

Maxwell said one daily dose for fans has to do with some Thunder themed capsules and as of Thursday there are several hidden around certain districts downtown. Now, it’s time for fans to find them.

"Then, they'll (the districts) drop clues on social media starting tomorrow and fans can search for those capsules and they get to win all the goodies inside,” Maxwell said.

There are several things inside for fans to take home if they find one. Keychains, wristbands, a portable charger and a T-shirt. Each district hides two of them. Midtown, The Wheeler, Automobile Alley and more are involved.

"We really depend on each other to help drive the excitement and the hype of Thunder basketball and this is just one more way that everyone can get engaged,” Maxwell said.

That’s not all either. Fans can also win a suite experience for game 2 on Tuesday night.

"That includes four club level seats, it includes food and it includes exclusive early doors access to watch the team warm up,” Maxwell said.

It’s through a raffle and tickets are $5 each with all benefits going to the Thunder Community Foundation where they support youth and nonprofits across the city. Fans can find tickets at okcthunder.com/playoffsraffle. The raffle ends Monday at noon. It’s just a couple of the many ways fans can Thunder Up through the playoffs.
