Buffalo Trading Card Con coming to The Powerhouse
BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) — Owners of some of Buffalo's largest card trading shops and vendors have joined forces to organize "Buffalo Trading Card Con" a one-day event taking place at The Powerhouse on April 27.
Pallet Town Poke Shop, RJ's Card Store and Shake & Break 716 came together to host the event.
“This trading card show is the first of its kind in Western New York and we’re excited to
welcome trading card hobbyists and families to this event at The Powerhouse,” said Sam
Hasan, owner of Pallet Town Poke Shop.
The event features more than 120 confirmed vendors offering Pokémon cards, Magic: The Gathering cards, crafts, custom art, and video games. A meet-and-greet with Jacob Castellon, a voice actor and audiobook narrator best known as the former voice of Pokémon Trainer Kabu, will also take place.
Alongside the trading show, a Pokémon TCG tournament will be held, with Pokémon booster boxes valued at $1,400 offered as prizes.
General admission is $5 at the door, cash only. Children 12 and under are free. The event runs from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
