'The Gilded Age' season 3 premiering in June after filming in Capital Region

ALBANY, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- The HBO's series "The Gilded Age" is premiering its third season this June. The show was filmed in Albany, Schenectady, and Troy for this season.
The series was renewed for a third season on December 21, 2023, and began filming in the Capital Region in August 2024. It is set in the late 1800s, starring Christine Baranski, Cynthia Nixon, and Carrie Coon.
"The Gilded Age" also filmed the first season in Troy in May 2021 and the second season in Troy, Albany, and Cohoes in 2022. Capital Region locals have had the opportunity to appear as background actors for all three seasons.
