THE awkward moment Maura Higgins and her ex-boyfriend Pete Wicks came face to face at a party has been revealed.
In February, it was revealed that Maura, 34, and Pete, 37, ended their relationship after a series of fiery rows.
Then, at the start of March, the former Love Island and I’m A Celeb star was seen kissing Danny Jones amid their drunken kiss scandal at a BRIT Awards afterparty.
And now, in the fall out of all of this, Maura and Pete crossed paths at a party this week.
The pair both attended a theatre show on Tuesday night, with them then both attending the same after party.
They was out at the star-studded events for Karen Hauer and Gorka Marquez‘s Speakeasy Tour on Tuesday at London’s Adelphi Theatre.
According to a source, the pair ignored each other for the whole night despite the pair having “remained close” when they split.
A source revealed to the Mail this week: “Maura and Pete certainly didn’t expect to be at the same theatre show and afterparty on Tuesday, but they mix in similar cycles, so it’s bound to happen on occasion.
“They completely ignored each other the entire evening and refused to even exchange pleasantries, which clearly indicates that they ended on very bad terms.
“No kind words were shared in the aftermath of their split and now the friendship that they once had is completely over too.”
With Maura and Pete’s frosty exchange now revealed, it’s a stark difference from the “friendly” end of their romance they experienced in February.
At the time of their split, a source told the same outlet: “Maura and Pete have decided to call off their romance.
“There have been a few clashes, and it was eventually agreed they were better off as friends.
“Those closest to them know it’s been a very on and off relationship, which is why they were so resistant to go public in the first place.
“They remain close and share a deep connection.”
Following Maura and Pete’s split, she was seen kissing McFly star Danny Jones, 39.

Maura and Pete are believed to have met for the first time in 2019, following her stint on Love Island. She late said they “just clicked”.
In August 2024, the pair were spotted enjoying a lunch date together in London’s Soho.
The following month, Maura showed her support to Pete following the release of his book Never Enough: My Words Unfiltered. She wrote online: “Proud of you.”
In October, Pete appeared on Olivia Attwood’s podcast and was grilled about his romance with Maura. Olivia said: “Your dating life. Maura Higgins.” Pete replied: “Me and Maura have known each other for a long time.” Olivia told him she’d seen a photo of them kissing.
Maura spoke briefly about Pete on Paul C Brunson’s We Need To Talk podcast in the same month. She said: “We just get on very, very well. I adore him, he’s an amazing person.”
Later in October, Maura and Pete were spotted kissing and cuddling several times; once at the Pride Of Britain afterparty and again during a dinner date.
Maura jetted off to the jungle for I’m A Celebrity in November. But she continued to pretend nothing was going on. Maura told GK Barry: “No, I’m single. People can date and not be in a relationship and take things slow. What’s the point in getting them involved too soon, when you just don’t know where it’s gonna go, you know?”
In December, Maura and Pete flew to Ireland and spent Christmas together. The pair broke cover and gave fans a glimpse inside their cosy lake house.
Just weeks later, Pete told The Times that he was “s*** scared” of settling down. He also appeared in Loose Women in February and spoke about his fears of commitment.
On February 14, Valentine’s Day, it was reported that Pete and Maura had split up.
The pair were caught kissing at the BRITs after-party at the start of last month.
The drunken kiss then plunged the rocker’s marriage to wife Georgia into crisis.
Shortly after the kiss, Danny released an official statement on his social media.
He said: “Sorry it’s taken me a while to post this but I’ve taken some time out to be with those closest to me.
“I want to deeply apologise to my wife and family for putting them in this situation.
“I love them so much and we’ll continue to deal with this privately.”
Georgia initially moved out to stay with friends but moved back in with Danny after crisis talks.
