Sisters face principal to attempted second-degree homicide in alleged plot to kill
CROWLEY, La. (KLFY) -- In Crowley, two sisters are accused of plotting to have someone killed. The police chief says the victim survived. However, there are others believed to have been involved in the deadly scheme.
On March 31, a set of sisters and another person argued at a fast-food restaurant in north Crowley.
"I hope people realize there are consequences to their actions," said Police Chief Troy Hebert.
Later in the evening, the altercation moved to the residential part of town. The chief says the two sisters were on North Avenue A Street, and the female they supposedly encountered previously was on the other side of the street.
"They might be neighbors or something. They were both within that vicinity on North Avenue A right there," Chief Hebert added.
The sisters reportedly yelled for the girl to cross the street and come on over. When she began to walk, a person from another angle, reportedly not the two sisters, shot the female four times.
"If you do have a disagreement or something, learn how to act with each other, civilized, not where you are trying to hurt each other," Hebert added.
Police say Ashley Dugas and Jakayla Jones are both facing principal to attempted second-Degree homicide. Warrants are pending for additional individuals believed to be involved in the case.
