In March 2023, Justin canceled his Justice World Tour, which THR claims “triggered a series of financial consequences that are still plaguing the artist today.”
Mainly, they claim he owes an estimated $20 million to tour promoter AEG, who apparently gave him a $40 million advance for the shows.
Justin‘s team has responded to this allegation, telling the site, “Any source that is trying to sell you a story about alleged financial distress … either doesn’t understand the entertainment industry or, more likely, is trying to paint an unflattering portrait of Justin, which bears no resemblance to reality.”
As for how he’s doing today, THR spoke with one insider who shared, “Artists are artists — they don’t look at the world the way you and I do. He’s healthier than all of us — physically and mentally.”
Another person, who claims to be an ex team member of his, said, “Seeing him disintegrate like this … it’s watching the embodiment of someone not living their purpose. He’s lost. There’s no one protecting him because there’s no one there willing to say no to him. You say no, you get blown out.”
One of the people Justin unfollowed, Poo Bear, a past collaborator, said, “Whatever he’s going through, I pray for him and hope he’s OK.”
