Timothee Chalamet’s sister Pauline ‘can’t stand’ Kylie Jenner and once-close siblings now have ‘deep rift’ between them
TIMOTHEE Chalamet has fallen out with his sister Pauline due to his relationship with Kylie Jenner, two sources close to the actor have told The U.S. Sun.
The U.S. Sun previously reported that many of Timothee’s close friends and family members disapprove of him dating the makeup mogul and mother of two, 27.
Kylie and Timothee, 29, who were seen locking lips at Coachella last weekend, may get engaged soon.
The U.S. Sun exclusively reported that the smitten Willy Wonka star is planning to propose to his girlfriend of two years after choosing a $300,000 ring made in Paris, where the couple is also looking at luxury properties.
The Sex Lives of College Girls actress Pauline, 33, has seemingly taken not-so subtle social media digs at Kylie in the past, slamming billionaires, extreme wealth and private jets.
Now, two well-placed insiders close to the siblings have told The U.S. Sun that their relationship is sadly at an “all-time low” due to Pauline’s disapproval of Kylie.
The first source says “something is broken” between the pair, claiming Pauline believes Kylie “doesn’t share the same values and morals as he does,” and that she will “leave him when she gets fed up.”
“Pauline thinks that Kylie is with her brother because it looks cool and it’s nice to be in a relationship with one of Hollywood’s most exciting young stars,” said the first source. “She thinks she’s with him to keep the spotlight on her.”
Different sources told The U.S. Sun last month there were serious family concerns about the relationship, suggesting it would be “a terrible mistake” for the couple to get married.
A family member, speaking anonymously, questioned how “two complete opposites” could make a marriage work.
“It’s a mystery,” they said. “Many of us don’t understand how they connect.”
Pauline, says the insider, is growing fed up with “The Kylie Show.”
“Timothee and Pauline speak much less often than they used to because this relationship is creating a massive gap between them,” said the source. “It is sad and frustrating for both of them. The rift is deep.”
WEDDING DRAMA
Oscar-nominated star Timothee has reportedly been looking at wedding venues in Europe, but there are growing fears that if a date is set, his sister won’t be there.
“If they get married, I am quite sure that she won’t even show up to the wedding as she literally can’t stand Kylie,” added the insider.
Kylie’s baggage from previous relationships—she has two kids with controversial rapper Travis Scott — and her net worth, estimated at a whopping $750 million, has also clouded Pauline’s views.
The second insider claims Pauline “doesn’t like Kylie at all” because of what “she represents.”
“Kylie is the epitome of what Pauline dislikes in society: fake stuff, people who live only by media attention, and someone who has never done anything to make society better or more equal,” the source said.
“Pauline is very simple; she likes simple things, and Kylie is the total opposite.”
Chalamet has described his older sister in the past as “his best friend” and said they have an “incredible relationship.”
Their closeness, however, is under threat.
“Pauline is seeing her brother change, and not in a good way,” concluded the second insider. “She doesn’t recognize the little brother she loves so much, and it’s making her sad.”
The U.S. Sun reached out to representatives for Timothee and Pauline, but has not received a response.
A spokeswoman for Kylie refused to comment.
