Celebrate Earth Day with free festival in Union Square
UNION SQUARE, Manhattan (PIX11) -- Go green and celebrate the environment with the annual Earth Day Festival at Manhattan's Union Square.
The free event kicks off at 12 p.m. on Thursday and offers hours of interactive environmental-led events to learn about green living and sustainability.
Families can explore workshops and exhibitions from green living experts while enjoying performances from the viral icon Hila the Earth. The eco-rapper and comedian is known for performing ecological songs dressed in an Earth costume.
After taking in the music, visitors can also join in on the climate comedy variety show from Apo.HaHa.Calypse. Throughout the day families can continue to learn about the Earth and clean energy through art, activities and food.
More information on the festival, line-up and all of the events can be found online.
