Sticker Mule in Amsterdam lays off almost 70 workers
AMSTERDAM, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- Anthony Constantino, Chief Executive Officer at Sticker Mule, announced on Sunday via Facebook that his company laid off almost 70 employees. Constantino said all 68 terminated employees were given severance pay.
The CEO pointed to a transition to automation as the cause with the company installing roughly 250 robots automate operations. "The best way to keep manufacturing in the USA is to automate, automate, automate to do more with fewer people and offer higher wages," said Constantino's Facebook post.
