Slightly cooler Wednesday, still spring-like around Portland
PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) -- Warm, above-average temperatures remain in Portland today as a broad ridge of high pressure offshore keeps the spring sun shining.
Afternoon temperatures are expected to warm into the upper 60s to low 70s along the Willamette Valley. Enjoy another fantastic day to get outside around the Pacific Northwest.
High temps in the 70s with sunshine are a welcomed sight here in Portland. However, the lack of rainfall is helping to grow Portland's rainfall deficit to nearly an inch as rain remains absent through the end of the week.
A deeper trough of low pressure is expected to move through the Pacific Northwest into the upcoming holiday weekend. Temperatures will slowly cool over the weekend as the chance for light rain showers returns.
This latest round of wet and cooler weather isn't expected to last more than a few days. Showers also look to be on the lighter side.
Another gradual warming and drying trend is expected by Tuesday of next week.
