Car dealership gives $7K to local nonprofit
TOPEKA (KSNT) - A local car dealership is giving thousands to support a non-profit.
It’s part of Briggs Subaru of Topeka’s Share the Love event. Money from every car goes toward a hometown charity. Tuesday, April 15, Briggs Subaru of Topeka presented the Ronald Mcdonald House with a check for $7,000.
That contribution will cover 280 nights at the Ronald McDonald House.
"There are a lot of companies in town that do really well, and they help support," Cody Vondra with Briggs Subaru of Topeka said. "We just want to make sure that we're one of those companies that standing out and really helping the community"
"When you take away the responsibility or the felt responsibility to donate for their stay, it lets them focus most on their children and that's really what's important," Mindee Reece, Ronald McDonald House Charities CEO said. "And so this money from briggs subaru will help offset those donations costs and let families really focus on the kids."
The Ronald McDonald House provides a place for families to stay while caring for hospitalized children.
