Nationwide's annual Wacky Pet Names contest returns
COLUMBUS, Ohio (WCMH) -- Nationwide Insurance is bringing back its annual contest celebrating pets with the craziest and most unique names across the country.
The 2025 Wacky Pet Names contest is now open where voters choose their favorite funky name from a list of 30 nominees. There are three categories including dogs, cats and exotic pets, according to a news release from the company.
The categories include a variety of pets from a pot belly pig, hedgehog, snake and guinea pig, to a rat, parrot, ferrets and more. Voting closes Saturday and the winners of each category will be announced April 22.
