French PM Bayrou warns Trump’s ‘hurricane’ has made France vulnerable
French Prime Minister François Bayrou took an unusually stern tone against the United States and its leader on Tuesday, accusing Donald Trump of having unleashed a “hurricane” on the world by turning on traditional allies and by triggering a trade war. The US president’s actions has made France particularly vulnerable, he said, adding that the country urgently needs to cut its budget deficit to address the "tsunami of destabilisation".
