Annual tulip festival returning to central Ohio
GRANVILLE, Ohio (WCMH) - An annual festival featuring more than 500,000 fresh tulips is returning for its third year in Licking County.
The Timbuk Farms Tulip Festival is opening on April 17 for three weeks. The annual event is located at Timbuk Farms, 2030 Timbuk Rd. in Granville. The opening date was initially April 12 but was moved due to recent weather conditions and cold temperatures, according to the farm's social media pages.
Festival-goers can enjoy a scene of fresh blooms, U-Pick tulips, live music, rides and games for children, food trucks, petting zoo, photo contests and more.
The food trucks and live entertainment will only be available on select Fridays and weekends, but the festival will be open every day. Tickets are $12 per person and kids under 2 years old are allowed in for free. Tickets are good for any day of the event.
Along with the festival, the farm's garden center will also be open, according to their website. Tickets are not required to enter the center, which features indoor and outdoor plants, seeds, a variety of flowers, and much more.
New to the festival this year is a wine spritz and craft beer from Three Tigers Brewing. According to the Timbuk Farms social media page, patrons can get their sips from the Beer Garden on April 17 and 18 as well as all weekends of the festival. Proceeds will also support the nonprofit, Center of Hope.
Hours for the Timbuk Farms Tulip Festival are Mondays through Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Sundays from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. For additional details on the lineup of food trucks and entertainment, visit the Timbuk Farms social media pages.
