MUSKOGEE, Okla. (KFOR) - According to the United States Department of Justice, a former Muskogee city employee has been sentenced for federal drug crimes.
Officials say on November 29, 2023, John Paul Cruz Rosado, the former Director/Event Manager for the Muskogee Civic Center, sold about 10 ounces of cocaine. On December 6, 2023, authorities found more than nine pounds of cocaine as well as scales, baggies, cash, firearms and other evidence at his home during a search warrant.
On July 24, 2024, Cruz Rosado pleaded guilty to distribution and possession with the intent to distribute cocaine.
Cruz Rosado was sentenced on April 10, 2025, to 135 months in prison for one count of Distribution of Cocaine and 135 months in prison for one count of Possession with Intent to Distribute Cocaine. The prison sentences will be served concurrently.
"I commend the work of the Oklahoma State Bureau of Narcotics in dismantling Cruz Rosado's cocaine distribution operations, and taking a drug dealer off the streets," said United States Attorney Christopher J. Wilson.
