Bargain hunters are racing to B&M for £20 buy that’s scanning at £2 – it adds a whimsical glow to your garden for spring
SHOPPERS are racing to their nearest B&M store after a “really pretty” garden buy was heavily reduced.
Not only will it add a whimsical style to your outdoor space, but it’ll brighten it up in seconds too.
So if you’re on a mission to give your garden an upgrade without breaking the bank this spring, then you’ve come to the right place.
Bargain hunters have been left in a frenzy over B&M’s solar powered artificial wisteria garland, which was once priced at £20.
That’s because they’ve noticed the outdoor decor is actually scanning at just £2 – so don’t let the £18 sale sticker fool you.
One savvy shopper was so thrilled by her huge £18 saving that she took to social media to alert others to the sale item, leaving many just as impressed.
Posting on the Extreme Couponing and Bargains UK Facebook group, which boasts 2.6million members, bargain hunter Vikki uploaded a snap of her brilliant buy.
Alongside her post, she penned: “B&M yesterday marked at £18, coming through at £2.”
The 180cm artificial wisteria garland boasts 20 warm white LEDs and also comes with an AA rechargeable battery included.
But you’ll need to scour the shelves at your local branch to get your hands on it, as the garden buy is no longer available on the website.
And unsurprisingly, people are desperate to track it down.
One gushed: “We need to check these, really pretty.”
A second said: “I need some of these.”
A third insisted: “We need to go look.”
“Omg they’re so cute”, chimed in a fourth.
A fifth simply exclaimed: “I want!!”
Meanwhile, a sixth revealed: “Bought these last year in purple and they look gorgeous when lit up.”
But other disappointed shoppers have warned against the bargain buy.
One person fumed: “Bought three sets waste of money All the flowers blew away and lights don’t work..And paid full price!”
A second echoed: “Mine did the same rubbish”
A third wrote: “I bought one last year , disappointed with them to be honest.”
And a fourth claimed: “Mine lasted a few weeks before all flowers come off. Rubbish.”
How to save money at B&M
Shoppers have saved hundreds of pounds a year by using B&M's scanner app.
The scanner lets you see if an item’s price is cheaper than advertised on the shop floor label.
Products that are typically discounted are seasonal items and old stock that B&M is trying to shift.
The app is free to download off the B&M Stores mobile app via Google Play or the Apple App Store.
According to one ex-B&M manager, you’ll want to visit your local branch at 10am on a Wednesday too.
Here’s how you can join the B&M bargain hunt:
- Download the B&M app for free on any smartphone with an App Store or Google Play.
- Once you’ve installed it on your device, click on the option labelled “more” on the bottom, right-hand side of the app home page.
- You’ll then find an option that says “barcode scanner”. Click on this and you’ll open a camera screen.
- Use the camera to hover over the barcode of the product you wish to check.
- If the price comes up as lower, take it to the cash desk and it will automatically scan at the lower price.
- You don’t need to sign up to the B&M app to use the barcode scanner.
