Morning Briefing: Manaea, Alvarez, McNeil Progressing in Rehabs
Good morning, Mets fans!
Carlos Mendoza provided some updates on the injury timelines of Sean Manaea, Francisco Alvarez, and Jeff McNeil on Monday. An MRI showed improvement to Manaea’s right oblique, and he’s started to throw off flat ground, but he won’t progress past that for at least another 10 days. Alvarez will join Double-A Binghamton in the next step of his rehab assignment today instead of Syracuse due to weather. McNeil will play one more game for St. Lucie before joining Syracuse on Thursday.
