Breakneck Ridge Metro-North Station to close for 2 years
FISHKILL, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- The Metropolitan Transportation Authority announced that the Breakneck Ridge station on Metro-North's Hudson Line in Fishkill will close for two years beginning on Monday, April 21. This comes as part of the first phase of construction on the Hudson Highlands Fjord Trail begins.
The Metro-North Station will be renovated along with the construction at Breakneck Ridge Trailhead, Wilkinson Memorial Trailhead, and Lower Brook Trail, which will all also be closed until further notice. MTA said this trail construction will give hikers a safe alternative to walking State Route 9D to access trailheads and will create cohesive access to and from the station.
