Tottenham believe they can sign top transfer target for just £45m
A new report has provided the latest on the future of Tyler Dibling and has explained why Tottenham Hotspur are currently well-placed to win the race for the Southampton man.
With Southampton’s relegation now confirmed, clubs around the Premier League might have already started working on a deal to sign Dibling, who has emerged as one of the best young attackers in the division this season.
Over the last few months, we have seen plenty of reports suggest that Tottenham have held talks with Dibling, but the Lilywhites face competition from several of their rivals for the player.
One source claimed last month that Daniel Levy has made it his personal mission to win the race for Dibling and a new update has now boosted the North London club’s chances of doing so.
Tottenham are currently the favourites to land Tyler Dibling
GiveMeSport have now claimed that as things stand, Tottenham Hotspur are leading the race to land the England Under-21 international, who is expected to leave the South Coast following Southampton’s relegation.
The report says that Tottenham had a secret offer of around £35m for Dibling turned down in January but are the favourites to land him this summer.
Although Southampton have put a £100m price tag on the winger, the Spurs transfer chiefs are of the belief that they can finalise a deal for around £40m to £45m.
Why Spurs may have an advantage over rivals in Dibling race
GiveMeSport name Newcastle United, Manchester City and Manchester United as the others who have stepped forward with an interest in Dibling.
However, it is suggested that the Exeter-born player would like to remain relatively close to the South Coast and may thus prefer a move to London, thus potentially giving Spurs an advantage.
The publication adds that Chelsea and RB Leipzig may also be ‘ones to watch’ in the race for Dibling this summer.
