Geordie Shore star will get MARRIED on TV in new series – but another show legend will snub wedding
GEORDIE Shore star Kyle Christie will get married in the new series – but another show legend will snub his wedding.
Kyle, 32, and his stunning bride, Vicky Turner, will film their lavish wedding in Rome for the MTV show, which begins production in June.
While they legally tied the knot in the UK last year, the overseas ceremony will serve as a grand second celebration – and a major storyline for the returning cast.
But despite his former flame Holly Hagan, 32, also rejoining the show for the new season, viewers shouldn’t expect a wedding reunion between the exes.
A source told The Sun: “It’s not that there is bad blood between them, as the relationship ended a long time ago, but they don’t really have much to do with each other outside of filming group scenes.
“Holly wouldn’t be someone Kyle would add to the guest list. He wasn’t invited to her wedding either.”
Kyle and Holly’s on-off romance was a central part of Geordie Shore during their time on the show in the mid-2010s.
While both have since moved on and started families, their dynamic remains a talking point for longtime fans of the series.
It was back in December that Kyle and Vicky, who share son Crew Jax, got hitched in a beautiful ceremony at East Boldon’s St George Church.
The TV personality shared the joyous news on Instagram alongside a collection of stunning wedding photos.
In one, the couple sealed their love with a passionate kiss, with their three-year-old son Crew joining them for a family shot.
Kyle and his mini-me looked suave in matching black suits while Vicky, a model and marketing manager, stunned in a sparkly white waistcoat and a cream skirt.
In his caption, the influencer wrote: “Legally Mr & Mrs Christie, next stop Rome,” referring to their upcoming second ceremony.
The newlyweds received an outpouring of support from their famous friends in the comments section.
Georgia Harrison wrote: “Unreal,” while Nathan Henry gushed: “Awwww love this congratulations.”
James Tindale added: “You both look incredible! Congratulations, can’t wait for the Rome wedding.”
Abbie Holborn said: “Beautiful,Congratulations to you both!! Bring on Rome.”
The pair got engaged the previous year, with Kyle proposing on a lavish private yacht in Italy.
With the picturesque Amalfi Coast as the backdrop, a Kyle got down down on one-knee to ask Vicky the all-important question.
Vicky wowed in a gorgeous silver shimmering dress.
MTV favourite Kyle looked equally dashing in a crisp white shirt for the life-changing moment.
The pair looked the picture of happiness as they snuggled up to one another and shared a series of kisses as they celebrated the huge milestone.
Sharing the exact moment that Vicky eagerly accepted his proposal, Kyle got down on one knee and asked the blonde bombshell: “Will you marry me?”
The stunner was initially left in shock as she clarified if he was being serious before happily accepting in the fairytale video.
Kyle’s former girlfriend Holly was among the first of his celebrity pals to send her congratulations to the loved-up pair.
She said: “Absolutely beautiful, congratulations!! Wishing you both a lifetime of happiness.”
Kyle and Holly cleared the air last year on a TV trip to Portugal after they ended their romance on rocky terms.
Kyle joined the show in the eight series where he quickly struck up an on-off relationship with Holly which dominated both the show and headlines during their time together.
He left the programme twice, once in the eleventh series before briefly re-joining and quitting again at the conclusion of the thirteenth.
Kyle then went onto enjoy a successful career on US TV becoming one of the leading cast members of the show The Challenge, appearing in seven seasons altogether.
