I’ve made thousands on Vinted but now I’ve switched platforms to make £100 in an hour – it’s so easy too
SHE’S already made £5,000 on Vinted in just 10 months.
But now savvy mum Liv has decided to try another reselling platform – and is already finding success.
She took to her TikTok page to share a video detailing her first attempt on Tilt.
The app allows people to connect with both friends and strangers through videos and live streams, in a bid to sell their items.
While Liv wasn’t sure if Tilt was something she wanted to explore, she decided to go for it in the end, as it’s a “really quick way for me to be able to get stock out the door and money in”.
“So instead of having my stock around, taking ages, photographing it, listing it, all of these kind of things, I can literally have it come straight in and go straight out,” she explained.
Liv joked her Tilt attempt would make her husband happy, as he’s “not happy with the amount of stock that I keep buying!”
For her first show, she decided to go on for two hours, during which time she made £267 of sales.
“I worked out that from everything that I sold, I paid for that stock £61.44.
“So my total profit was £205.56 for just two hours of work and the half an hour that it took packing at the end.
“So about £100 an hour.”
Reflecting on her success, Liv grinned: “That’s so good. I’m really happy with that!”
She concluded her video by advising anyone who has thought about doing Tilt to “just go for it”.
“You can’t go wrong, really, can you?” Liv said.
“And at the end of the day, the magic happens outside of your comfort zone!”

To which Liv replied: ” I was selling a mix of high street brands and bigger brands!
“Brilliant!! I really need to start,” another added.

- The only time that an item might be taxable is if it sells for more than £6,000 and there is profit (sells for more than you paid for it). Even then, you can use your capital gains tax-free allowance of £3,000 to offset it.
- Generally, only business sellers trading for profit (buying goods with the purpose of selling for more than they paid for them) might need to pay tax. Business sellers who trade for profit can use a tax-free allowance of £1,000, which has been in place since 2017.
