Aldi is selling £25 garden essential that’s £50 cheaper than Bosch version and will help your patio sparkle
ALDI fans better set their alarms as a handy gadget for getting the patio clean is about to hit shelves – and it’s £50 cheaper than a Bosch alternative.
With the bank holiday weekend on the horizon, many of us likely have big plans to invite family and friends over for garden parties or Easter egg hunts for the kids.
However, after a long winter of neglect, you may have noticed that your patio is in need of a bit of TLC.
And although you may think that patio cleaning tools will be pricey, Aldi’s Patio and Wall Cleaner proves otherwise.
Arriving on shelves on April 17, just in time for the Easter weekend, the cleaning device is priced at just £24.99.
The nifty gadget can be used on both floors and walls, and comes with both plastic extension tubes, and and ergonomic handle.
According to Aldi’s website, the cleaner is made from “unbreakable and impact resistant” materials, and has “splash protection by brush edge.”
The product is part of Aldi’s weekly Specialbuys range, which hit shelves every Thursday and Sunday.
From DIY bargains to beauty dupes, the Specialbuys are always hugely popular with customers, and fly off the shelves, so you better get down to your local store quick, as they are only available while stocks last.
And anyone keen to give their patio a scrub over the Easter weekend should be sure to check Aldi’s opening times, as they differ over bank holiday weekends.
To compare the Aldi patio cleaner to other similar products on the market, Bosch’s AquaSurf 280 Multi Surface Cleaner is priced at £74, making the Aldi product £50 cheaper.
The “high speed” cleaning tool can tackle driveways, and large patios, and has integrated handles, to make cleaning vertical surfaces easy.
A product description reads: “The AquaSurf 280 Multi Surface Cleaner efficiently cleans large driveways and patios as well as vertical surfaces such as garages and walls.
“It effortlessly hovers over the cleaning area to remove algae, lichen, and moss in no time at all.”
And the patio cleaner isn’t the only gadget to get your garden slabs gleaming landing on Aldi’s shelves.
Also arriving in middle aisles on April 17 is the FERREX Small Pressure Washer which is priced at £39.99.
How to repair broken patio slabs
THE paving specialists at Simply Paving told Fabulous how you can repair broken patio slabs, without the faff.
The experts advised: “If you have a loose paving slab, then it’s unlikely it can be lifted straight by hand. Instead, you will probably need a hammer and chisel to prise the paver free of your patio.
“To remove loose paving slabs without damaging your flagstones, carefully chip away at the mortar around the paving slab with the plugging chisel and rubber mallet until the slab comes completely loose.
“Then, slide the spade into the gap left by the mortar and prise the paver free of the patio.
“As you lift it up, place a short piece of timber underneath the spade to act as a lever, making it easier for you while protecting the slab underneath.
“When the paver starts to give, place the cylindrical wood underneath it and roll the slab out of the patio.”
Pressure washers are a must-have for blasting away dirt, grime, and moss from patios, driveways and outdoor furniture in seconds.
This bargain bit of kit packs a powerful 1400W motor with a maximum pressure of 110 bar — ideal for tackling stubborn stains outdoors.
It comes with a three meter high-pressure hose, spray gun, cleaning lance with extension and a quick-connect system for easily switching attachments.
The handy gadget weighs just 5kg, making it perfect for mobile use, and it’s easy to store thanks to its integrated cable and hose holder.
And it’s a real bargain compared to big-name alternatives.
For example, the Karcher K2 Power Control Home 110bar Electric Pressure Washer currently costs £119.99 at Screwfix — making Aldi’s version 67% cheaper.
