To the editor: Take action to save day care
In addition to being a member of Toledo City Council, I’m a small business owner. I own a child care and early learning center where I care for up to 25 children. The families whose children I teach and nurture are hard-working. They want to keep their jobs. They want to provide for their young children and get ahead. But they’re struggling to afford child care and to stay on the job even though I try to keep my costs low.
