Alesha Dixon fights back tears during powerful love song amid Britain’s Got Talent star’s marriage split
ALESHA Dixon was left close to tears on Britain’s Got Talent as a singer wowed with her rendition of a love song in her “last chance” for stardom.
The act in question, Louise Hall, had earlier declared she was rejected from the ITV reality series in 2024.
Louise, who hails from Pontypool, told how it was her “time to shine” in her second Britain’s Got Talent stint.
The teacher and full-time mum took to the stage with a rendition of Something Beautiful by Robbie Williams – but within seconds, Simon put his hand in the air and stopped the performance.
He then asked her to tackle a second tune – in a move some fans branded a fix – which Louise then belt out Jennifer Hudson‘s hit ballad And I Am Telling You I’m Not Going.
While the emotional track was met with cheers from the audience, Alesha, 46, was seen fighting back her personal emotion.
The Mis-teeq songstress, who The Sun revealed had split with the father to her two kids in March, had tears in her eyes as she gave her feedback.
The singer, who wore a pink outfit with silver hoop earrings, was on the verge of crying – just weeks after eagle-eyed fans had called out the clues to her break-up with Azuka Ononye, 44,
As she responded to the Welsh contestant’s second track, an emotional Alesha said: “It was so lovely to see and I could feel you fighting your way through that whole audition.”
Leanne replied: “Thank you so much,” before the Breathe Slow songstress added softly: “Well done Louise, well done.”
Yet Simon Cowell appeared to be about to cut her dreams short as he said: “Look Louise I like you. That was adrenaline, that was like you let go.
“You’re very talented but I think we have had better singers than you this year.”
Alesha then interjected: “It’s just song choice, we can help you with that.”
Louise then scooped four yeses from the panel and progressed to the next round.
SHOW FIX?
Yet despite the happy outcome, some BGT fans suspected foul play.
One wrote on social media: “These singing auditions on Britain’s Got Talent are so set up sometimes when Simon stops them mid song and ask them to sing something else and they sing again and they’re amazing.”
Britain's Got Talent Judges
The ITV talent show wouldn't be the same without the four charismatic judges who put the contestants through their paces.
Simon Cowell is the staple of Britain’s Got Talent and resumes his role as head judge. The mogul is one of the most iconic figures in music and is responsible for offsetting the careers of many performers around the world.
Amanda Holden has been a judge on Britain’s Got Talent since it first started in 2007. The sexy star is a firm fixture on the judging panel, which has helped her to become a household name.
Alesha Dixon is back to judge the new series of Britain’s Got Talent. The TV star joined the panel back in 2012 and quickly became a fan favourite.
Bruno Tonioli makes up the fab four. After leaving Strictly, he decided to move over to ITV and is the newest BGT judge after replacing David Walliams.
A second posted: “Ah this old chestnut.”
A third commented: “I couldn’t even hear her for the noisy audience, and it was a set up too, seen dozens like her before.”
SAD SPLIT
Meanwhile, The Sun was first to report how mum of two Alesha had split from her long-time partner, dancer Azuka back in March.
Alesha told friends she was no longer with her former partner, but said they were still living together for the sake of their two children.
A source said at the time: “Alesha confirmed she’s split from Azuka and is navigating that as best she can.
“They are still living together for the sake of their family and are co-parenting.
“Alesha headed to Jamaica with her friends to get some sunshine and have a break from her hectic schedule.
“It was a great tonic and she had a fantastic time.”
The Sun told last November how Alesha had told pals she believed the relationship was over and they would likely separate.
