Mets Minors Recap: Gilbert Has Big Night in Rehab Outing

Drew Gilbert came through big in his rehab outing for Low-A St. Lucie, but the Mets affiliates were swept on Thursday.

Triple-A

Syracuse’s offense remained cold with just a single run on four hits.

Hagenman was plagued by poor control and defense, as he only allowed one run over 2 2/3 innings while striking out five. Gose continues to look strong as a left-handed relief option for the Mets.

Binghamton’s game against Hartford was postponed due to inclement weather and will be played as a doubleheader today starting at 3 p.m. EST.

High-A

Serrano’s short hitting streak was snapped, but he stole a base and made an absolute web gem in the outfield. Benge, New York’s 2024 first-round pick, walked twice and put his plate discipline on full display.

• RHP Noah Hall (0.93 ERA): 4 2/3 IP, 1 unearned run, 1 H, 2 BB, 8 K

Hall was lights out in his appearance, striking out eight hitters while only allowing one hit. The bullpen gave up a combined seven earned runs in the fifth and sixth innings, however, putting the game out of reach.

Gilbert made a rehab start for St. Lucie in right field and looked strong. Daiverson Gutierrez went 3-for-5 at the plate with two RBIs.

• RHP Irving Cota (0.00 ERA): 4 IP, 2 H, 1 BB, 3 K

Dohm looked strong in his second professional start after being selected in the third round last year, striking out four over three innings. The velocity is as advertised, but his control needs some refinement.

Cota played fireman and pitched four innings of shutout ball in relief.
