Light Therapy Has Been Part of My Skincare Routine for 2 Years — Here’s Why This Innovative Mask Is My All-Time Fave

After covering beauty products and trends for over five years, I’ve noticed when something is great or just a fad. I’ll admit, early in my career, having all sorts of skincare devices was the thing to do and as a consumer I bought into it big time. I had a cleansing brush (not good), facial wand (whatever that is), and an ultrasonic exfoliating scrubber that just never worked. Plus, I had a drawer filled with cheap jade rollers, cryotherapy wands, and gua sha tools. And I’m sure in the hands of a proper esthetician, they might have done wonders for my face. But to be honest, it was all hype. However, there was no device that has worked better for my skin quite like an LED light face mask.
Introducing Qure’s Red Light Mask Q-Rejuvalight Pro. Brought to you by the science-baked skincare company that promises “clinic-level results” from home without the clinical cost. Unlike most skincare brands that are just flooded with products, Qure has about 10 in their line up because they really focus on getting the product just right. According to the brand, the Q-Rejuvalight Pro “utilizes a combination of five market-leading light wavelengths to treat a multitude of skin concerns deep within the skin, where even the best creams and serums can’t reach.”
Since I’ve been incorporating light therapy into my skincare routine for over two years now, I was a little skeptical about the claims Qure was making. Not only does this mask claim to help with acne, fine lines, and wrinkles; but it also says it can help with reducing the signs of dark spots and uneven skin tone. As someone who’s been dealing with hyperpigmentation since puberty, that particular benefit peaked my interest. And even more so, because the LED mask I already own from a particular doctor’s brand doesn’t claim to help dark spots (comparison review coming later).
The Q-Rejuvalight Pro offers two treatment settings — anti-aging and anti-breakout — that last for three minutes each. Essentially, both treatment settings are relatively standard across the board for light therapy masks, however, this one uses amber and deep red wavelength lights to help with sun damage and pigmentation as well as reduce the appearance of wrinkles and redness. The anti aging setting combines amber, infrared, deep red, and red LED lights while the anti-breakout setting uses both blue and red light wavelengths.
But what really makes this mask so great is that you can specialize your treatment experience with an app. The Qure app lets you customize your treatment with five facial areas so you can target specific concerns. Since I have hyperpigmentation mostly on my cheeks I program my mask for red light therapy there and blue light on my chin because that’s where I break out the most. I’ve learned the best way for me to use an LED face mask is on completely dry skin. After washing my face with my go-to cleanser, I gently pat my face dry with a Clean Skin Club face towel (10/10 recommend) then I use the Q-Rejuvalight Pro for three to six minutes. Sometimes I go for two rounds if I feel like my skin could use the extra boost. It’s only until after I use the mask that I apply the rest of my skincare.
As I’ve said before, I’m not new to using light therapy in my routine. However, there have been times when it wouldn’t be consistent because… well life. But for the sake of this story, I made sure to stay consistent with using the Q-Rejuvalight Pro every night. And I have to say for the past four weeks my results have been top tier. Overall my skin looks more even and supple and it feels softer if that makes sense. I catch myself admiring my reflection when doing my skincare at night because truly the only thing that has changed is consistently using the mask, so I know it has made a difference. I will admit that in order to see a major change it will take longer than just four weeks.
But all in all, this baby is a 10 out of 10 and if there’s an LED mask to invest in, it’s this one. You can get the Qure Red Light Mask Q-Rejuvalight Pro on QureSkincare.com for just $379 which is about $75 less than its competitors.
