Colonie police arrest 19-year-old for gun possession
COLONIE, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- The Colonie Police Department arrested an Albany man on Tuesday for alleged gun possession. Police said Makayveon M. Moore, 19, is charged with second-degree criminal possession of a weapon.
Police said they pulled over a 2005 Volvo on Central Avenue near Delafield Drive around 8:38 p.m. for a traffic violation. After an investigation, police said they found a loaded pistol in a passenger's backpack that they identified as Moore's.
Police said Moore did not have a permit for the firearm. He was arraigned in Colonie Town Court and released.
