‘Disgusting’: MAGA lawmaker explodes on constituent in fiery town hall take down
Rep. Nancy Mace (R-SC) launched a verbal tirade against one of her constituents who called into a telephone town hall and clearly struck a nerve with the MAGA lawmaker.
“You’re probably one of those people – one of those fake town hallers who want a fake town hall – because you’ve never shown up to one. So you can just sit right back down. I’m not going to have any of it,” Mace said.
The explosive sound-off from Mace, who has found herself under fire for repeatedly ducking events in her district, came after she bowed to pressure and hosted a 15-minute tele-town hall on Tuesday. But things quickly went south when “Lindsey from Summerville” questioned how Mace felt about diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives being scrubbed under the Trump administration.
“Because I mean you got into The Citadel with your DEIA, and now generations of girls aren’t going to be able to have the same opportunities,” the caller said in reference to the top-ranking South Carolina military college.
“Let me make it very clear, Lindsey from Summerville. I earned the right to wear the ring at The Citadel,” Mace said. “I fought like hell for my ring from The Citadel. You have no idea what I went through to graduate from The Citadel. It is not a DEI graduate ring. I have a real ring because I earned it.”

The South Carolina Republican added: “The blood, sweat and tears I went through to follow in my father’s footsteps, you will never know the pain that a woman goes through to succeed at a place like The Citadel. You wouldn’t last an hour. So don’t give me that about DEI. You sound like someone who wants men in women’s spaces, and I gotta tell you, I will never allow it, not over my dead body.”
Mace continued to blast the caller, who she vowed she would not offer any assistant to. “If that’s what you want Lindsey from Summerville I will not help you. I will not support that – I think that is disgusting.”
“Have you lost your mind? Do you know how many women have gone through there and graduated since I helped pave the way for women in the last 25 years?” Mace told the caller. “It is a huge honor.”
She concluded: “You will never know that toughness because you're part of the far left.”
