Two injured in shooting on northeast side of Columbus
COLUMBUS, Ohio (WCMH) -- Two people were injured, one critically, after a reported shooting on Columbus’ northeast side Tuesday evening.
Columbus police said the shooting was reported at approximately 7:45 p.m. on the 3300 block of Cleveland Avenue at the Northern Lights Shopping Center. One of the victims then made their way to a McDonald’s restaurant on the 800 block of East 17th Avenue.
A spokeswoman with the Franklin County Sheriff’s Office confirmed two people were shot, but did not have any further information.
A spokesman for Columbus police said one victim was hospitalized in critical condition; the condition of the second victim was not released.
Columbus police, Franklin County Sheriff’s deputies, and Clinton Township police all responded to the scenes.
