Man arrested on felony warrant for 2024 shooting
ABBEVILLE, La. (KLFY) -- Authorities have arrested a wanted man for his connection to a shooting incident at the Herod Village Apartments in Vermillion Parish.
Officials said they arrested D’Jacqney Mitchell today on an outstanding felony warrant from 2024.
On August 26, 2024, Mitchell was involved in a shooting incident that resulted in one victim being hospitalized and another dying from their injuries.
Officials brought Mitchell to the Abbeville Police Department, where he was booked, and will be sent to a Vermilion Parish jail on one count of first-degree murder and one count of attempted first-degree murder
Mitchell's bond has been set at $750,000.
