List: What stores, restaurants will close for Easter 2025?
(NEXSTAR) — Easter Sunday is less than two weeks away, but several retailers and restaurants already know their doors will be closed for the holiday.
This year, Easter falls on April 20, one of the latest possible dates for the Christian festivity.
As they have previously, many national companies have announced that they will be closed to allow their employees the chance to celebrate the holiday. Here's a look at those retailers and restaurants that have already confirmed independently or to Nexstar that they will be closed for Easter:
Stores
ALDI: Easter Sunday is one of four holidays that ALDI stores observes by closing for the day. The others are New Year’s Day, Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day.
Best Buy: A representative for Best Buy confirmed stores will be closed for Easter Sunday.
Costco: As with most major holidays, Costco will be closed for Easter this year.
Dick's Sporting Goods: A representative for Dick's Sporting Goods confirmed to Nexstar that stores will be closed on Easter Sunday.
Hobby Lobby: Easter marks a day off for Hobby Lobby employees, largely because the holiday also falls on a Sunday.
Home Goods: Like other stores owned by TJX, Home Goods stores will be closed for Easter, a company representative confirmed.
Homesense: As a brand owned by TJX, Homesense stores will be closed for Easter, according to a company representative.
Kohl's: A representative for Kohl's confirmed to Nexstar that its stores will be closed for Easter Sunday this year.
Lowe's: Unfortunately, your home improvement work may need to wait until Monday, as Lowe's officials have confirmed their stores will be closed for Easter.
Macy's: According to a Macy's representative, stores nationwide will close for Easter this year.
Marshalls: As its fellow TJX stores, Marshalls locations will be closed for Easter, according to a company representative.
Sam's Club: Unlike Walmart, Sam's Club stores will close for Easter Sunday.
Sierra: A company spokesperson confirmed Sierra stores will not be open on Easter.
Target: There won't be any Target runs on Easter as the Minnesota-based retailer will shut its doors for the day.
TJ Maxx: You'll have to wait until Monday to peruse the racks at your local TJ Maxx store as they'll be closed for Easter Sunday, the company has confirmed.
Restaurants
Chick-fil-A: Because Easter falls on a Sunday, Chick-fil-A restaurants will, of course, be closed.
Chipotle: A representative for Chipotle previously confirmed to Nexstar that its restaurants will be closed for Easter Sunday.
In-N-Out: You won't be able to celebrate Easter with any "Animal Style" fries as In-N-Out will close its doors for the holiday.
Raising Cane's: As it does with other major holidays, Raising Cane's will give its restaurants Easter Sunday off.
While these stores and restaurants are closing for Easter, several others have confirmed independently or with Nexstar that they'll be staying open. Some locations may, however, have limited hours.
