Speaker Mike Johnson (R-La.) and House GOP leaders will give remarks Tuesday morning as Republicans in both chambers wrestle over a budget blueprint that will advance President Trump's legislative agenda.
The press conference comes after the Senate passed its plan over the weekend. The budget resolution has faced steep opposition in the lower chamber, with hard-line conservatives pushing for more cuts. Trump has pressed the holdouts to get on board.
Johnson is eyeing a Wednesday vote on the upper chamber's budget proposal, which would unlock the reconciliation process that Republicans are looking to use to pass tax cuts, border funding and energy policy.
