Celebrity Big Brother launch night chaos that WASN’T shown on TV despite medics and security rushing in after collapse
CELEBRITY Big Brother roared back onto screens in seriously entertaining fashion last night.
But there was even more drama during the bumper 90 minute live launch show that didn’t make it onto TV screens.
Viewers watched agog as Hollywood legend Mickey Rourke flirted shamelessly with host AJ Odudu and cheered as Danny Beard strutted into the house like a born winner.
However, there was a major issue just moments before cameras started rolling as an audience member fell ill and needed urgent medical attention.
At the end of the final rehearsal, mere moments before the show was due to begin, a woman collapsed by the side of the stage.
Medics and security staff rushed to her aid and managed to remove her from the crowd as the titles began to roll.
An onlooker said: “AJ and Will [Best] were both shocked as they weren’t sure what was happening.
“However, they continued like pros and those watching at home would have had no idea anything was wrong.
“It took about 4 guards and medical staff to help the woman up and had they not have acted quickly the incident would have ben right in shot.”
Big signing Mickey’s arrival has been well documented, but viewers won’t have been aware that his inner circle were given different treatment to everyone else’s nearest and dearest.
A source said: “His friends were only brought out to see him go in the house and had a chaperone with them the whole time. All the other celebs’ families stood and watched the whole show.”
Meanwhile Jack P. Shepherd was the only celeb with no visible family or friends supporting live.
The Wrestler star Mickey has been widely criticised for his handsy behaviour with AJ.
And the mood quickly changed on site the more he pushed his luck with her.
A source said: “When it became clear that Mickey was being inappropriate and looking down at AJ’s bum the atmosphere in the crowd quickly changed.
“She was able to handle it like a pro but it was clear his behaviour took her by surprise. She was visibly stunned when she first left the stage but then quickly had to boot Mickey into the house as he took his time going in.
“After he finally went in, she took a moment to compose herself and have a quiet moment on stage and left Will to interact with the audience.
“She signalled that she was okay but it was clear Mickey’s actions caught her off guard.”
There were a few wardrobe malfunctions on the night, too.
Everyone was dressed to the nines for the big occasion, but risky attire led to a few fashion faux pas’.
Angellica Bell gave the audience more than they bargained for when she accidentally flashed her entire bum as she waved in her mini dress.
While AJ’s feathered dress kept shedding and a lot went on Will’s suit. They had to keep clearing the stage of all the bits of her dress.
CBB’s live shows are famously full on panto and last night was no different.
At first everyone was told to cheer no matter what, but then the compere switched and the crowd was told they could boo if they wanted to.
When Michael Fabricant came out, AJ told the crowd “be savage” and some at home claimed it was the most booing they’ve heard in a live show.
Overall it was a slice of TV gold and if the eviction nights are half as fun it’ll be a cracking series.
