4/7/2025: Rain & snow showers
The latest Storm Tracker Forecast from meteorologist Matt Mackie:
It's a bit of a wintry start to this Monday morning! Most were just cold enough to see snow showers. A slushy coating developed on the grassy surfaces in parts of the Capital District. An inch or two has fallen in highs spots in the Catskills, Berkshires, and Green Mountains. Meanwhile, it was mainly rain south of Hudson in the Hudson River valley.
This afternoon, temperatures rise into the low or mid 40's for highs, with a few lingering showers - mainly rain. Tonight looks chilly, with lows in the 20's and a bit of a breeze developing. There may also be a few more light snow showers.
Flurries could continue into the day Thursday. It will be a cold and windy one with highs in the 30's. With the wind chill factored in, however, it will feel more like the teens and 20's.
Wednesday is brighter, but still well below average with highs only in the low 40's. After another chilly start with lows in the 20's, we will get back up to around 50 for Thursday afternoon.
It will, however, start to turn rainy for much of the rest of the week. Highs are back to seasonable levels, in the mid 50's for Friday and the weekend.
