Adidas Just Launched a Golf Line Featuring New and Classic Sneakers
At this point, it would be shortsighted to say that sneaker and streetwear integration into the game of golf is merely a trend. Whether it’s frequent Nike collaborator Eastside Golf, fairway-ready versions of Travis Scott’s sneaker collabs or Reebok revamping Allen Iverson’s classic shoes for the green, the sport has never been as tapped into trends as it is today. The latest brand to throw its hat into the ring is Adidas, which has just launched a new Originals Golf line.
According to a press release, the line was spurred by “streetwear becoming more entrenched in the sport’s landscape and the fashion community looking to the fairways and greens for design inspiration.” Highlighted by a wide range of apparel in a mix of blues, greens, yellows and whites, the Adidas Originals Golf collection arrives right on time for the 2025 Master’s Tournament, which tees off April 10.
Beyond the clothing, Adidas Originals has prepared a new footwear model, revamped the classic Gazelle sneaker for the course and updated two of its already available shoes in the Stan Smith Gold and Samba Golf. Additionally, the Superstar Golf is also available now in a special white, green and yellow color combination.
“Over the past few years, we have worked hard to bring the classic Adidas silhouettes to the course in a way that will offer golfers both function and style. With the addition of Coursecup and now a Gazelle designed for the golf course, golfers will continue to be able to express themselves through clean and versatile designs,” Masun Denison, global footwear director of Adidas Golf, said in a press release.
The Adidas Coursecup shoe ($150) takes inspiration from the brand’s 1986 Gold Cup golf shoe. The wingtip design is offered in unisex sizing and features a Gripmore spikeless outsole and a removable kiltie attachment.
On the Gazelle Golf ($120), Adidas added drop-in EVA cushioning for comfort, a waterproof suede upper and an Adiwear spikeless outsole, all without changing the overall aesthetic of the iconic sneaker.
The Adidas Originals Golf collection is available now from adidas.com and select retailers.
