NATIONAL SUMMARY
Severe thunderstorms and flooding rainfall are projected to
spread across portions of the Mississippi and Ohio valleys
today. Storms are forecast to bring life-threatening
flooding, damaging winds, hail and tornadoes, especially
from northern Louisiana to western Tennessee. To the north,
rain will dampen the Northeast, and an icy mix is set to
develop across northern New England. Meanwhile, a breeze
from the southwest is expected to bring very warm air from
the Southeast to the mid-Atlantic, while cool conditions
will continue across the Plains. Snow is forecast to fall
