Who will die in ‘The White Lotus’ finale? Here’s what our polling reveals.
How much do caskets go for in Thailand, anyway?
Fans have been buzzing all week about which The White Lotus character(s) will die in Sunday's finale. Could it be Gaitok, the lovelorn security guard; Timothy, the suicidal father who lost his family's money; Gary/Greg, the dangerous widower of Tanya (Jennifer Coolidge); or somebody else completely unexpected?
Gold Derby broke down all the scenarios and asked our readers to vote for the likeliest victim, and we can now reveal the results:
- 35 percent — Gaitok (Tayme Thapthimthong)
- 17 percent — Rick (Walton Goggins)
- 13 percent — Chelsea (Aimee Lou Wood)
- 13 percent — Gary/Greg (Jon Gries)
- 9 percent — Timothy (Jason Isaacs)
- 9 percent — Laurie (Carrie Coon)
- 4 percent — Lochlan (Sam Nivola)
Gaitok
Gaitok leads our poll results, and for good reason: he just came to the realization that the hotel thieves are Valentin (Arnas Fedaravicius), Aleksei (Julian Kostov), and Vlad (Yuri Kolokolnikov). The security guard nearly stopped them in the act several episodes ago, but they got away. He recognized them in last week's episode while at a Muay Thai fight with his crush, Mook (Lalisa Manobal). Since Gaitok is currently in possession of the gun, it's entirely possible he'll try to arrest the robbers, and get killed in the process.
Rick
Rick is such a dweeb. He brought an entire gun and chose to knock his dad’s supposed murderers’ chair over instead of shooting him and left without helping him up lmafo #TheWhiteLotus pic.twitter.com/igpcBXY8LO

Rick has been on an emotional journey unlike anyone else this season. After finding out that Jim (Scott Glenn) was responsible for his father's death decades ago, Rick went to the home of Jim and Sritala (Lek Patravadi), while in possession of a gun given to him by Frank (Sam Rockwell). Rick ultimately decided not to kill Jim, and instead just pushed him back in his chair. Now that Rick has reached a sort of peace in his own life by coming into contact with his father's killer, what does Rick have left to live for?
Chelsea
As for Rick's girlfriend, Chelsea, don't forget that she gave an ominous quote earlier in the season that "bad luck comes in three." X user @EmmanuellePaez put together that Chelsea was looking to buy a snake bracelet when the hotel robbery interrupted her. Later, she was bitten by a snake that Rick set free. The third piece of bad luck could be related to Aleksei, Valentin's Russian friend, who has a snake tattoo on his arm. Is Aleksei going to kill Chelsea in the finale, either on purpose or inadvertently?

Gary/Greg
Gary/Greg has been a target ever since he was responsible for setting up Tanya's demise in Italy. He managed to slip away to Thailand, until Belinda (Natasha Rothwell) recognized him. The mysterious widower offered to pay Belinda $100,000 to keep quiet about his identity, but she decided to "sleep on it" before saying yes. Will Gary/Greg's obsession over Belinda result in his own untimely death? The audience would certainly love to see him get his just desserts, in honor of the late Tanya.
At this point in the story, Timothy dying wouldn't really be shocking at all. He's had several daydreams about shooting himself in the head, and also about killing his wife Victoria (Parker Posey) and son Saxon (Patrick Schwarzenegger). But now that Gaitok has taken back possession of the gun, it doesn't seem as likely that Timothy will die by gunfire. Perhaps he'll overdose on his wife's Lorazepam?

Laurie
When viewers last saw Laurie, she had slept with Aleksei and noticed his collection of stolen jewels. His ex-girlfriend appeared, prompting Laurie to jump out the window and run into the safety of a taxi. But now that Laurie has seen too much, Valentin and his minions could ensure that she never makes it back to the hotel. That's what she gets for having a one-night stand!
Lochlan
Lochlan is still recovering from the aftermath of having a drunken trist with his older brother. He's so embarrassed with himself that he asked his sister, Piper (Sarah Catherine Hook), if he could join her on her year-long stay in Thailand. Is Lochlan so distraught that he might consider suicide? Or perhaps Saxon will get his revenge by drowning his younger brother in the same pool they've swam in so many times before?
