Clippers take W number 3 Wednesday Against the Saints
Cleveland Guardians minor league recap for April 3, 2025
Columbus Clippers 2, St. Paul Saints 0
Box Score · Clippers improve to 3-2
In their second game of the year against St. Paul, the Clippers had a solid showing Wednesday on both sides of the field.
On the offensive side, all the contributions came from the top half of the order. The Guardians’ Minor League Rule 5 pick Will Wilson has continued on his impressive start, going 2-3 with a walk and an RBI.
Juan Brito went 2-4, getting himself 2 TB on the day, and Angel Martinez, although going 0-3, delivered a sac fly RBI in the 8th just before Wilson delivered his.
The Clippers went a total 3-12 with RISP, but it was still just enough to get them the W against the Saints, thanks to the team’s collective effort on the mound.
Parker Messick allowed just 5 baserunners in 4 innings, while also fanning 2 batters. Luis Frías, Zak Kent and Parker Mushinski followed suit and didn’t give up a single run. They allowed a combined 4 hits and 6 walks in relief, as well as 6 K’s.
Tonight’s game was postponed, so a double-header will be played tomorrow.
