At the Queens Night Market, all food is $6 or less
QUEENS, N.Y. (PIX11) – Despite inflation, the Queens Night Market is keeping its prices the same this season.
The market officially opens to the public on April 26, kicking off months of good eats every Saturday at Flushing Meadows Corona Park.
There will be a $5-$6 price cap on all food sold at the market, which was established in 2017. It’s a huge win considering how much the price of food has increased in that same period, according to John Wang, founder of Queens Night Market.
“What the vendors decided upon was a tremendous gift to NYC,” Wang said. “At a time when we seem to be consistently paying $5-$6 for even a cup of coffee, the vendors have helped create an oasis right when our wallets need it most.”
On April 12 and 19, New York City’s foodies can get a paid preview of the market before it opens for free. Tickets will be $5 ahead of time and $8 at the door.
Vendors at the April 12 preview will include Sambuxa NYC, Tacos El Guero, Sam’s Fried Ice Cream, C Bao, and much more. For a full list of vendors, click here.
Then throughout the season, attendees can get a taste of Burmese palatas, Southern cheese straws, Trinidadian curry crab and dumplings, Hong Kongese soy sauce noodles, and much more.
