Reports have revealed that Callum Olusesi had the chance to join one of Europe’s biggest clubs but chose to remain at Tottenham Hotspur, backing himself to break into the first team.
Tottenham Hotspur’s youngster Callum Olusesi has been making small but steady strides in his Spurs career this season.

Reports from Football Insider have now revealed that Tottenham had to fend off interest from several top European clubs before securing Olusesi’s future.
According to the publication, Bayern Munich, Ajax, Juventus, and Paris Saint-Germain were all keen on signing the teenager, but he ultimately decided to commit to Spurs.
With his new deal signed, Olusesi will now be looking ahead to next season, backing himself to make the step up and break into the first team under Ange Postecoglou.
Tottenham Hotspur have high hopes for Olusesi
Of course, there is plenty of excitement around the 18-year-old’s potential at Tottenham, with former Spurs striker Jermain Defoe highlighting Olusesi as one to watch.
Defoe has praised his versatility, noting that he can operate as a holding midfielder, a number six, an eight, or even a ten.
Speaking on Spurs’ academy talents, Defoe said about Olusesi: “There’s another one, Callum Olusesi. He’s been on the bench a few times this season for Tottenham. Another young player.
“Can play as a holding midfielder, play as a six, play as an eight, play as a ten. Still developing, but great potential.”
