Red Sox Vs. Orioles Lineups: Tanner Houck Starts, Connor Wong Sits
The Red Sox and the Orioles will compete for a series win Thursday afternoon at Camden Yards.
After watching Garrett Crochet pitch eight lights-out innings Wednesday, Tanner Houck will look to follow suit in the matinee matchup. The outing will provide the 2024 All-Star an opportunity to bounce back after allowing four runs on seven hits over 5 2/3 innings in a road loss to the Texas Rangers last week.
Houck will be opposed by fellow right-hander Charlie Morton, who was roughed up in his Baltimore debut against the Toronto Blue Jays. Morton, however, tends to pitch pretty well against the Red Sox, who he owns a career 8-2 record against.
Alex Cora will roll out the same starting lineup as Wednesday, with one exception. Carlos Narváez will do the catching for Houck after Connor Wong started three straight games for Boston.
