Severe weather rolls through Oklahoma overnight
OKLAHOMA CITY (KFOR) - The 4Warn Storm Team has been watching severe weather that moved through Oklahoma Tuesday night into Wednesday morning.
According to KFOR meteorologist Jon Slater, there was a risk of storms Tuesday night into Wednesday morning. Conditions were favorable for all modes of severe weather, including possible tornadoes, overnight.
The state saw heavy rain and strong winds overnight. Central Oklahoma had an enhanced risk for severe weather with 60 to 80 mph winds and large hail predicted.
More storms are predicted for Thursday morning, but the severe weather threat is for southeastern Oklahoma. Friday and Saturday will be wet and rainy.
According to KFOR Meteorologist Emily Sutton, Oklahoma City is in the clear, but the storms are moving quickly to the east. A tornado watch has been issued until 10 a.m. in northern, central and southern Oklahoma.
