The Nation's Weather for Wednesday, April 2, 2025
_____
NATIONAL SUMMARY
A similar area that dealt with severe weather Sunday can
once again experience severe thunderstorms but with more of
a tornado threat today. Thunderstorms that erupt from Texas
into the Mississippi and Ohio valleys and Great Lakes will
be capable of producing flash flooding, large hail, damaging
wind gusts and tornadoes. Some of the tornadoes may be
strong and long-lived. Since the tornadoes can last into the
night, the darkness will greatly add to the danger. Some of
the tornadoes may be concealed by rain. The greatest risk of
tornadoes will exist from northern Louisiana and Arkansas to
western Tennessee and Kentucky, Missouri and Illinois and
southwestern Indiana. From the same storm, there will also
be a swath of snow from Wyoming to northern Minnesota. Ice
may revisit places such as northern Michigan and Wisconsin.
