Off the Beaten Path: Schenectady Trading Company
SCHENECTADY, N.Y. (NEWS10) - Located at 10 North Center Street in Schenectady, you’ll find a modern general store with a twist! In January 2024, Ali and Tom Bland took over ownership of the business.
The store offers a wide selection of local foods, vintage, goods, souvenirs, and art. Wall to wall you’ll find items from around 100 local artisan makers, mostly from Schenectady county.
“I speak for myself that I wouldn’t be able to have my own storefront, so coming together with a group of other like-minded people has just been really nice,” said one artisan.
The hours are as follows:
- Tuesday-Friday 11 a.m.-5:30 p.m.
- Saturday 10 a.m. -5 p.m.
- Sunday 12 p.m.- 3 p.m.
