Oklahoma City job fair connects educators with hiring schools
OKLAHOMA CITY (KFOR) - Educators and academic leaders are invited to a local job fair to connect with hiring schools across the metro.
Officials say the job fair, hosted by Fuel OKC, is planned for Saturday, April 12, from 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at the Ronald J. Norick Downtown Library, 300 Park Place.
“If you have a teaching certificate or if you have a bachelor’s degree and are interested in changing careers or working with students, this is a unique opportunity to meet public school leaders from across the metro,” Brent Bushey, Fuel OKC CEO said.
Attendees will have the opportunity to meet with representatives from Oklahoma City public schools and districts to learn more about their institutions and open positions.
Schools participating in the job fair include:
- ASTEC Charter Schools
- Dove Public Charter Schools
- Harding Charter Preparatory School District
- Harding Fine Arts Academy
- Oklahoma Public Montessori Initiative
- Oklahoma City Public Schools
- John Rex Charter School
- RISE STEAM Academy
- Santa Fe South Schools
- W.K. Jackson Leadership Academy
- Western Gateway
“With teacher shortages affecting many schools, there is a need for teaching and leadership roles at all grade levels.” Bushey added.
According to Fuel OKC, the job fair is free to attend and there will be free meter parking available.
