Old Georgians have already clinched top spot in stage 2 and a European place in 2026 but saw their 100% record this season ended by Wimbledon after a 5-5 draw. Sam Ward put OGs two up in the first quarter but Euan Gilmour and Liam Ansell levelled things up. Ward completed his hat-trick and Tom Carson made it 4-2 before Ansell pulled one back. Chris Griffiths made it 5-3 early in the last quarter but a second for Gilmour and one for Fred Newbold made it 5-5. Wimbledon drop down to fourth, overtaken by Holcombe, who won 5-0 at Oxted with Teague Marcano scoring twice. After a 4-1 win at Paddington Rec Surbiton will finish second and Hampstead & Westminster fifth.

Rajgir to host Hero Asia Cup Rajgir, Bihar 2025 as Hockey India signs MoU with Bihar State Sports Authority

New Delh: Rajgir, the historic city in Bihar, is all set to host the Hero Asia Cup Rajgir, Bihar 2025, following the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between Hockey India and the Bihar State Sports Authority today. The tournament will take place from 29th August to 7th September at the recently developed Rajgir Hockey Stadium, marking a significant milestone in India’s sports infrastructure and Bihar’s emergence as a global sporting hub. This will be the second international sporting event hosted by Rajgir, following the successful Women’s Asian Champions Trophy in November 2024, where India emerged victorious.
Despite India's Champions Trophy snub, Pakistan hockey team set for Asia Cup trip to India
India had declined to send its cricket team to Pakistan for the 2025 Champions Trophy, citing security concerns. Despite this, the Pakistan hockey team plans to participate in the upcoming Hockey Asia Cup hosted by India.

While the Indian cricket team did not visit Pakistan for the Champions Trophy 2025, the Pakistan men’s hockey team is set to arrive in India for the Asia Cup in August-September 2025. The Hockey Asia Cup will be played from 29 August to 7 September in the newly-built sports complex in Rajgir, Bihar.
