Albany man pleads guilty to razor attack
ALBANY, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- The Albany County District Attorney's Office announced that 31-year-old Olonjadae Rouse pleaded guilty to first-degree assault before Judge Roger McDonough in Albany Supreme Court on Monday. The Albany man was arrested in early March.
Rouse admitted that on March 4, he slashing a victim several times with a razor blade during an argument in Albany. The victim required extensive treatment at a local hospital for serious cuts to the head, face and neck.
Rouse fled the scene but was later taken into custody by Albany Police officers. He's expected to face an 18-year state prison sentence and five years of probation in accordance with his guilty plea.
Rouse's sentencing is scheduled for May 30. Assistant District Attorney Beven Nedumthakady prosecuted the case.
