J.D. Vance hosts RNC fundraiser ahead of possible 2028 run even as Trump eyes third term
Vice President J.D. Vance was expected to host a Republican fundraiser Monday as he builds a network for a possible presidential run despite President Donald Trump saying he wants to serve a third term.
Axios reported that Vance would host Monday night's fundraiser for the Republican National Committee in New York City.

"The move shows how Vance is maintaining, and building, his fundraising network ahead of a possible 2028 White House bid," the report noted.
The fundraiser comes after Trump told NBC News he was "not joking" about serving a third term in office.
