Menands School offering new Pre-K program in the fall
MENANDS, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- The Menands School will soon be offering its own Pre-K program rather than contracting with an outside entity to provide the program. It will begin in the fall for the 2025 to 2026 school year.
The new program will be in one classroom, serving 18 students. A lottery system will be used to select families if there are more than 18 students enrolled.
For a child to be in the program, they must turn four years old by December 1. They must also live in Menands.
“Our commitment is to ensure that a full-day program is continued to be offered in Menands and to ensure it meets the educational and social needs of our students and community,” said Superintendent Jennifer Cannavo.
