APD investigates south Austin homicide
AUSTIN (KXAN) -- The Austin Police Department is investigating its 10th homicide of the year so far. It comes after it said it was investigating the death of someone in the 6400 block of Bradsher Drive Sunday night. This is near the intersection of South Congress Avenue and West William Cannon Drive.
At a media briefing Sunday night, Corporal Matthew Nonweiler gave details on the investigation. He says officers received a stabbing/shooting hot shot call at 10:13 p.m. on Sunday night. When arriving at the scene, they discovered a male on the ground with obvious trauma to the body.
Life-saving measures were attempted, but the male was pronounced dead on the scene.
Detectives are speaking to witnesses.
